METALCORP LAUNCHES ONLINE SHOPPING

In an industry-first move, Metalcorp has launched their online ordering platform enabling customers to order products anytime, anywhere using an internet enabled device.

As a leader in the Australian rural space, we launched our eCommerce website, giving customers the freedom of convenience. With a complex project which hinged around streamlined user experience as a key priority, the first phase of this project was a result of two years of digital innovation.

The website will initially enable customers to order rural products and some pipe & tube using any internet enabled device and either have it delivered to a nominated address or arrange a pick up from any Metalcorp retail outlet. Customers are able to complete the order online using Mastercard / Visa / PayPal via a 100% secure gateway powered by ANZ Bank’s Cybersource.

For delivery orders, our custom freight module will calculate freight based on delivery location and the supplying branch. Delivery service has been initially rolled out to postcodes within 100 to 150 kms of each branch. This will be rapidly rolled out to additional postcodes over the next few months.

February 2021 will also see the rollout of the complete pipe and tube range available for purchase online as well as ability for account customers to view trade pricing and pay via available credit. We will also offer the Buy-Now-Pay-Later in this phase.
