Celebrating Community - Outdoor Cinema Bushfire Fundraiser

MCS Toowoomba have been supporting our local communities throughout the current devastating fire season, raising funds for livestock and repairs of fencing and infrastructure as well sponsoring a community outdoor cinema night on Friday the 6th of December to help raise funds for our rural firefighters to upgrade equipment that is desperately needed to keep fighting fires.

Our movie night raised $11,700 through a sausage sizzle, local businesses and generous donations from the community that attended the night - these funds are going directly to purchase additional fire fighting pumps to help the community to be more prepared to defend their homes throughout the upcoming fire season.

We have now also delivered almost 50 ton of feed to the livestock in the valley, this has had an incredible impact on the community and the feed donations have been gratefully received - but still a long way to go until feed is again self-sufficient in the area.

Every dollar counts for us to help this community recover from these terrible fires and a lingering drought - please donate if you can to help us raise enough to keep them going. All our thoughts are with those still fighting and recovering from fires across the East Coast of Australia.
